I took my ring to a local jeweler today that my mom has been using for about 20 years to have it appraised for insurance purposes and wanted to share what the jeweler said. He asked “Did the local jewelry store make this for you?” I told him no it was ordered from Verragio because I wanted to get it customized with sapphires instead of diamonds. He said…
“When someone brings in a piece to me, I can usually find something that is wrong or some kind of small imperfection with it. Whoever the craftsman was that molded and made this ring did amazing work. They really paid attention to the details and even took the time to make sure the diamond was set properly. It was turned so that the prongs were placed in the correct position on the stone. Most people do not take the time to do that.”
He then used the diagrams on the certificate to show me the square of the table and explain what he was talking about because I had no clue there was a right and wrong way to put a diamond in the setting. I of course thanked him for his kind words. So I just wanted to pass that feedback along and again say thank you for my beautiful ring.
