Highly recommended for both product and staff.
Whiteflash.com has been an incredibly easy-going, worry free, and genuinely FUN experience throughout the whole process of purchasing an engagement ring. Remember too, and this is very important, that is coming from a guy that has very little free time and would rather spend that free time in any other way. Anything but buying a ring!
I have been with my now fiance for 10 years. I gave her the ring in 2008, so had dated for about 6-7 years before I "Popped the question". I felt the time was now to ask the question was because I was moving away for medical school and would be very busy and never around for the next 4 years. Unfortunately, this proved to be true. I wanted her to have something that connected us even when we were hundreds of miles apart.
Now prior to this whole episode, I knew NOTHING about rings. I took a ring she owned to a jewelry store to have her size measured. Armed with that information, I went to the internet. I browsed by Whiteflash.com a few times, until I realized most people who seemed to know what they were talking about often referred to Whiteflash.
I found some message boards and asked for opinions of Whiteflash and also looked around for other good sellers of diamonds and bands. Everything seemed to come up Whiteflash again and again, so I went with them.
Their website is great with info for beginners to advanced, and prices ranges from hundreds to multi thousands. Myself, as a poor medical student, I could afford $2000 at the most. I worked closely with Jamie Geiger who was wonderful. At one point he told me the prices on the diamonds I was looking at were going to go up in a few days, so I kind of laughed. A typical sales pitch and a pretty sleazy way into scarring people in buying NOW! Well I had already decided on this diamond in my head, so I ahead and bought and paid for it that night.
Imaging my surprise when a few days later the price went up but not a bit, but a couple hundred dollars! Thank you again Jamie!
Everything else went just as great. The band was a bit too large, so we sent it back and they adjusted it and returned it all for nothing. The diamond was exactly as pictured, the use the picture of the actual diamond on their website, not some stock photos. A sales rep is always calling or emailing that first week that it arrives to make sure everything is fine. (but they are not intrusive).
The tools packaging is outstanding. It is a dark rectangular thin wood box that has a magnetized lid to close. It comes with a cleaning clothe, diamond-grabbing tool, and an idealscope. It is really cool.
The ring itself comes in a very high quality Whiteflash box with their classic looking logo on the box.
Whiteflash is a wonderful company. I have little experience buying engagement or other wedding rings, but I always associate them with stress and too much money. Whiteflash had neither of those. It was exciting and I never felt pressured to buy something I did not want. I was actually a fun process for myself, despite the fact that I had very little money at the time. In fact I cannot imagine a more enjoyable and easier way to shop for a ring for the person you will spend the rest of your life with.
My fiance loved her ring :)
I always recommend Whiteflash to friends or anyone I come across that is looking for a ring for their significant other.
P.S. Every year since 2008, Whiteflash has called me on my birthday or the day of our engagement to ask how we are doing as a couple and how the ring is doing. How cool is that?!
