A Happy Returning Customer to Whiteflash
I am a returning customer to Whiteflash. In 2007 I began researching diamonds and engagement ring settings so that I could buy the nicest diamond and setting for my budget. I purchased a couple of books, went to jewelry stores, and did a lot of online research. Before my research I would have never considered making such a large purchase online. I thought that would be the best way to get ripped off, but actually found out otherwise. Through online diamond enthusiast forums I heard of Whiteflash and it's great reputation. I was relieved that I could purchase a loose diamond and view the lab report, the diamond mapping, and several magnified views of the diamond to know exactly what I would be purchasing.
My first purchase was a loose diamond set in Whiteflash's "Harmony" platinum engagement ring. This was a great experience. Everyone at Whiteflash was so helpful and knowledgeable. After a few brief correspondences I was put in touch with Sheerah, a diamond consultant. She helped me from that point on and guided me through the whole buying process answering my questions without any pushy sales tactics. My fiance at that time loved the diamond and setting....unfortunately more than me :-). Although that relationship did not work out I knew I would consider Whiteflash in the future.
Forward to the summer of 2011 I finally found the right woman and was ready to propose. I had the old e-ring and was happy to know that my original purchase had the option of a trade-up policy. I was excited about this until I learned that since 2007 diamond prices had just about doubled and precious metal prices increased sharply too. After taking a pay cut and moving across the country for a new job, I was on a limited budget. I told my fiance that I could buy another diamond and setting, but I could only afford to buy a very small diamond. Luckily, she had no problem whatsoever with getting the ex's diamond, she just did not want the same setting. I lucked out.
Unfortunately, Whiteflash would not give me anymore that the scrap metal value for the ring (about $75.00 for the platinum ring. The original cost was over $1800.00). I was very disappointed by this, but found that this was typical policy with the online jewelers. I checked other places, but in the end decided to stick with Whiteflash because I liked their customer service, the 30 day no hassle return, the craftsmanship, but above all else I liked the setting I chose...the "Legato Sleek Line Pave" in platinum and the matching wedding band. I just felt that they were just perfect for my new fiance.
We had already agreed we wanted to get married, but she was stunned at the actual proposal. She said she had never seen more beautiful rings.
I should note that Whiteflash sent me a short follow-up after my purchase asking me how we liked the rings. I then wrote back that we loved them. After that they sent me this request to rate their product and services on iVouch. I assume they only do this for people who indicate they had a positive experience with their company. I do recommend Whiteflash and from what I have seen they have a generally good reputation. I also recommend Sheerah as your diamond consultant at Whiteflash.
