Whiteflash vs Local Jeweler
At first, I was wary of purchasing a diamond from an online retailer. To say that I asked a lot of questions, would be an understatement... After putting in a ton of research and time - I finally contacted Whiteflash. My initial email inquiry was for a diamond that was .8 carats. However, a Whiteflash representative contacted me and advised me that there were other diamonds of a higher quality available within my budget. This was the moment I knew that Whiteflash was a legitimate diamond retailer, and that it was unlikely I was getting scammed. After a fairly long phone conversation, and many hard pressing questions later, I was sure that the sales associate would hate me... I didn't care. If Whiteflash wanted my business, they were going to answer all of my questions and go through a barrage of tests. By the end of the phone conversation, I was 96% certain I was going to get what I paid for. In fact, I was so positive that I wasn't getting scammed, that I wired them the money in advance. The diamond (set in the paved band I ordered), had arrived at the post office in time for New Years Eve; approximately four days after I had put in my order for processing. I proposed to my girlfriend that night... and she accepted! She was shocked by the brilliance of the diamond, and the ring itself. And if she doubted the quality of the diamond, she had the laminated AGS papers included with the ring to evaluate for herself. Many of her friends have engagement rings, but few of them could provide official diamond certification, like my fiance now could. I would recommend Whiteflash to anyone looking to buy an engagement ring, but are opposed to paying the absurd markup a local jeweler would charge.
