Long Island Proposal
I wanted to thank you all for having so much patience with me during my ""big purchase"".
Your boundless knowledge and attention to detail was exactly in-tune with my engineering mind, helping to guide me along the way. It was also quite flattering that my exact stone was used as an example on the Pricescope forums to show just how perfect a lightscope image and hearts & arrows symmetry can be (Yaw thread). The images of this stone are the best I''ve ever seen!
I thought you all might want to hear about the proposal, which was just perfect! I proposed over Labor Day weekend-- I told her I wanted to take the boat out for a ""test-run"" to Greenport, Long Island while it was still light out, so we could make the same trip back later that night after dark to see a live band play there. It was just the two of us. On the way back, with the sun slowly setting off the bow, I stopped the boat in the middle of Peconic Bay. By the time she asked why we were stopping, I had already moved to the back of the boat, was down on one knee, and had the ring box in my hand. She immediately started crying and jumping with happiness as I asked her to marry me.
The ring is absolutely gorgeous! Everyone who sees it, even if they have no particular knowledge of diamonds, is completely blown-away with the look of this stone- jaw''s drop, followed by ooh''s and ahh''s. The diamond is so clear, and it sparkles wonderfully in all lighting conditions, which is really nice!
Thank you all again for making this dream rock a reality for me! I''ll be speaking with you guys soon for my next purchase- the Bride''s gift! I''m thinking Diamond 3-prong Tennis Bracelet..
