Whiteflash found us an amazing diamond at a great price!
My fiancé and I found an engagement ring setting we loved at a local jeweler and started looking online to get the best price for the diamond. I searched on pretty much all of the major online diamond sites. Several of the sales reps from other sites wanted to sell me the first diamond I inquired about just to make a fast sale. My diamond consultant from Whiteflash was different. We searched their virtual inventory to find the type of diamond I wanted, but she told me that she did not recommend most of what we first found. She taught me about the ideal angle and depth measurements on a diamond and that she would only recommend the small percentage that fit into these ideal measurements. This makes the difference between an extremely brilliant, sparkly diamond and one that just looks like glass. While we were looking I happened to find a diamond that met these specifications on a competitor's site. I gave Victoria the GIA certificate number and she was able to get that diamond for me at several hundred dollars less than the other site. Whiteflash also has a 3% wire payment discount which is higher than the 1.5% discount offered by competitors. So we ended up saving even more money.
Whiteflash brought the diamond in, did all their light performance tests and it turned out that the diamond had light performance on par with AGS triple ideal diamonds (also known as Hearts on Fire, etc.) that jewelers charge a big premium for. I now have the diamond on my finger and it looks like an extremely expensive diamond because it is so sparkly. I looks just as good or better than the diamonds they have in the window at the Cartier store on 5th Avenue. We had the diamond appraised and it came in at $7500 more than we paid for it.
Overall we had a great buying experience with Whiteflash and I will be back next time I am in the market for diamonds.
