Sunny in Seattle
I got it! I stopped by the FedEx station this morning and signed for the package. It''s a sunny day in Seattle (total rarity this time of year) and the first thing I did when I got home was take out the ring. It is very sparkly and very clear. I took out the magnifier and really admired the cut of the diamond. It''s true, this kind of diamond really does scintillate much better than lower quality cuts. I also think going with the SI2 clarity was the right choice. I can see only slight inclusions under 10X magnification, and they aren''t even really noticeable to me then - and they''re not noticeable to me at all without the magnification.
I''m convinced that the most important part of a diamond is how well it throws off light and these ""Above the Cut"" stones rock (no pun intended)! I also paid close attention to the fire of the stone. When I moved it around outside, there were little rainbow colors thrown all around. This is a quality diamond!
Also, I was really impressed at the H&A in the two .25ct VS G side
stones. There was no mention of the cut of these diamonds on the
site, but both seem to have been cut really well. To my untrained
eye, the H&A look great!
We''re leaving for the Caribbean a week from today. I have the ring
hidden in a box in the garage. I can''t wait to see her reaction!
Thanks again for all of your help, you really did make this a painless process.
