Matching certified diamonds for earrings or for side stones in a three stone ring
requires the diamonds be close in size, color, clarity and of course cut quality.
However, they do not have to be exact in order to look good together and to match well visually.
This search page will quickly return any options available for your consideration. It is based upon "Carat Total Weight" (CTW).
Therefore, if you are looking for two matching 0.50ct diamonds, you would search 1.00 CTW.
Upon selecting a pair you will be taken to a page where the two diamonds will appear side by side with a magnified photo and a list of attributes for easy comparison.
The pairs are suggested based upon their gemological grades and measurements and are generally very good matches.
But it is a good idea to request that one of our gemologists or diamond consultants examine the stones visually to verify that they are the best match available.
This is particularly important when matching Si clarity diamonds or diamonds with different cut grades.
Visual differences between diamonds in the clarity grades VS and above are usually negligible, if all other aspects are the same.
And it is difficult to tell diamonds apart in the real world if they are within one color grade, especially if the diamonds are not set side by side.
